Company Setup

 

OVERVIEW:

 

Company Setup is the area of DELPHI32 that holds the information related directly to your practice.  This information must be entered correctly in order to submit accurate bills to insurance companies and clients.  If you're using a demonstration version of the program, you will not be able to enter your own business name in this screen. 

 

HOW TO GET THERE:

 

1) Start at the Main Menu.

2) Select the 'Setup' menu.

3) Click on `Company'.

4) The Company Setup screen will appear similar to the one shown below.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

CAUTION:  As part of DELPHI32's copy protection, we do not allow owners of DELPHI32 to modify the OPERATING NAME or ID NUMBER without our assistance.  This prevents the software from being used in another practice or keeps demonstration copies from being used any further than an evaluation copy.  To change these two items, call Technical Support and have us help you through a simple procedure.  If you attempt to change either of the first two items on this screen without our help, DELPHI32 will become inoperable.

 

Operating Name (Box 33 of the HCFA-1500)- (CAUTION: Do NOT attempt to change this information without help from Support.  This is the name that you use when you file taxes.  This can be the name of your practice or your individual name and credentials.  This information appears in Box 33 of the HCFA-1500, on the top of all client statements and as a header on all reports within DELPHI32.

 

ID Number- (CAUTION: Do NOT attempt to change this information without help from Support.  This number is part of the copy protection scheme for DELPHI32.  We will provide you with this number once you've decided to purchase DELPHI32.  This number is related directly to your Operating Name and is only known by technical Support for DELPHI32.  If you change this number or the name of your company without our help, the program will become inoperable.

 

Address -  This is the mailing address and telephone number for your practice.  It will be printed on your insurance bills, invoices, statements and reports.   This information appears in Box 33 of the HCFA-1500 and on the top of client statements.

 

City, State, and Zip Code of the Practice -   This information appears in Box 33 of the HCFA-1500 and on the top of client statements.

 

Telephone Number -   This information also appears in Box 33 of the HCFA-1500 and on the top of client statements.  Due to space limitations in Box 33 of the HCFA-1500 the telephone number will appear on the same line as city, state, and zip if the total number of characters of city, state, zip, and phone number are 28 characters or less.  If the city, state, zip and phone number are more than 28 characters the phone number will not print in Box 33.

 

System Area Code - This is the default area code that precedes telephone numbers in DELPHI32.  Enter the area code that the majority of your clients reside in. 

 

Social Security Code - This is the social security number of the legal owner of the practice.   

 

State Registration Number or License Number - This is the state registration number of the legal owner of the practice.  This information prints at the bottom of the HCFA-1500 in Box 31 just above where the signature goes.  For example: you might want to enter "State License # 1234" here or whatever your insurance company might require you to place in this box.  

 

Employer ID Number or Federal Tax ID Number - This is the federal employer identification number of your practice and will be printed in Box 33 of the HCFA-1500 form.  Depending on how you file taxes, this number is either your federal tax ID number or your social security number.

 

What is your preference? (CLIENT or PATIENT) - Each provider has their own way of referring to the people that they perform services on.  DELPHI32 allows you to choose between `Client' or `Patient'.
